pcms - the Programmer’s CMS

A clutter-free, code-centric, simple tool to deliver (simple) web sites. For people who love to code.

I don’t need a CMS. I don’t WANT a CMS: it is too restrictive. I am a developer, so I feel more comfortable writing code in an editor than clicking in a UI. So I created my own site builder and delivery server: pcms.

  • Written in GO
  • Serves Markdown and HTML pages, processed with pongo2 templates
  • Indexes all pages (and their front matter) in a SQLite database, which can be queried from the templates
  • Built-in image resizer

This site, alexi.ch, is delivered by pcms.
